So, we upgraded to a 10.2" unit with wireless headphones and a wired input for audio into their OEM radio.
Customer brought in her Toyota Sienna for an overhead video do-over. They bought the vehicle with an overhead previously installed and it eventually fell apart...literally. So, we upgraded to a 10.2" unit with wireless headphones and a wired input for audio into their OEM radio.

Past Client brought his Ford in for an audio upgrade....wanted some extra bump in his truck.
Had an Arc Audio 10" woofer with a 350 watt amp that was calling his name. Amp tucked away nicely behind the rear passenger seat and made the sub box with millimeters to spare. This sub is fairly deep, and normally you'd only mount a shallow mount in these trucks...but I didn't want to go that route....so I made it fit. System sounds good, nice and tight bass. Truck came with an auxiliary switch panel, and we tied the amp turn-on to the 4th switch; so the owner can turn the sub on/off whenever he needs to. Just wrapped up this install....solid, solid install!
Customer and I have planned this one out for a while and it was finally time to complete the project. The customer did all the sound deadening...and MAN, what a difference it makes. He did the roof, floor and all doors with up to 3 layers of recommended sound deadening products. Once it got to me, here is what I put in: Alpine IVE-W535HD Multimedia Headunit with Bluetooth, iPhone, Backup Camera and more Arc Audio KS 300.4 4 Channel Amp (Mounted to Rhino-lined Amp Rack) Arc Audio KS 300.2 2 Channel Amp (Mounted to Rhino-lined Amp Rack) Hybrid Audio Technology 6.5" Clarus Component Speakers (Front) Hybrid Audio Technology 6.5" Imagine Coaxial/Component Speakers (Rear) Arc Audio 10D4 10" Subwoofer in a custom made rhino-lined subwoofer box I used 0ga power wiring throughout, then split into 4 ga for the amps. The customer had all the speaker brackets, boxes and amp rack made from a reputable 'Toyota' owner in California...and the results speak for themselves....the fit and finish of all the parts we perfect...spot on. This was a good project, where the customer actually helped install some of the initial products; so now he knows exactly how everything is ran so down the road, he'll know whatever he needs to when it comes to service. This was a fun project and it turned out great...I'm never let down with the output of Hybrid speakers paired up with Arc amps... Looked forward to doing future work on this truck (lighting, etc). Client brought in her 2007 Toyota Sequoia for a full swap of the electrical system.
Here is what I installed: Sony XAV-701HD Multimedia DVD Player with Pandora, HD Radio, Bluetooth and much more Generic Backup Camera, mounted by towing receiver Steering Wheel Integration Module for a seamless installation Client brought in a brand new 2013 Hyundai Accent and a complete MTX subwoofer system.
Amp fit nicely out of the way under the driver seat, woofer was perfectly tucked up under the rear deck lid, with PLENTY of storage will in the trunk. Bass was very impressive for a small amp/sub combo. Had a client bring in his daughter 2000 Toyota Corolla for an audio upgrade.
Here is what I put in: Pioneer DEH-3400UB Headunit Rockford Fosgate PRIME Series R250-4 4 channel Amplifier Rockford Fosgate PRIME Series 6.5" Coaxial Speakers (Rear) Rockford Fosgate PUNCH Series 6.5" Coaxial Speakers (Front) Customer Purchased all the gear and I put everything in just in time for bed time :) Install went good, speakers weren't too difficult to install (with the help of some spacers). Overall, this upgrade was perfect for what the customer AND his daughter wanted. With the amp under the passenger front seat, and the settings set just right, the driver can crank the music without worrying if they'll blow the speakers or not. I foresee another amp and sub addition down the road though :) :) Busted out this quick install for a customer from up in the Sun Valley area that came all the way down for some Trax Customs assistance.
Simple install; wire up his Kenwood Mono Block Amp and he'll hook up the woofer when the custom JL box and Pioneer Premier Woofer show up in the mail. Mounted it in his hidden parcel shelf that the Dodge Magnums come with. Stealthy, out of the way, perfect what a family wagon install. Had a customer come in with a 2001 GMC Yukon XL.
Purchased products from one of our suppliers that recommends us. Jensen Fold-Out 7" DVD Player Jensen Bluetooth Adapter Kit Jensen Aux/USB Adapter Cable Jensen Back-up Camera All in all it went great and customers were happy. Not bad for a few hour night-time install! Cheers! Had a client come in that was concerned about his stock sound system (amplified Focal speakers....if you call that stock)(owner didn't know that Focals were installed).
He's a true audiophile at heart....so Hybrid Audio Technologies is the first speaker that popped into my head. Wasn't sure about what model to go with, since it's a convertible; but the owner didn't want to install a subwoofer, so Clarus was the choice; they have a lower range of frequencies that they can play...so we squeezed the more amount of mid-bass out of them as we could. Owner had pre-selected an amazing deck, the Alpine CDA-117....truely an audiophiles headunit of choice.....more audio tweaking options that most need.....just enough for this project. The doors got a 3 layer sound deadening system (inner door skin, middle door skin, and inside door panel) to help the mid bass out as well as block some road noise. All of this was pushed by the Arc Audio KS Mini, 2 channel amp....perfect size to fit under the seat where most other amps wouldn't dream of fitting. Had a past customer come in and want his iPod and iPhone to work with his 2006 Acura TL.
iSimple made this....well....rather simple. Does everything he wanted. Cheers!!! Installed the new Memphis Audio Tower Speakers in a new MB Boat over the labor weekend.
These things rock. Crystal clear and can get loud!!! Install was pretty straight forward, and the way they designed these was perfect. Made it so no wires are exposed and everything is hidden. They are powered by Memphis's 4 channel Marine amp, with 2 more channels for another set that will be added down the road. Had a good friend of mine come in for some audio upgrades to her Jeep Liberty.
New deck with iPod, HD Radio, Bluetooth, and Auxillary input. Kenwoods lineup fit her needs perfectly. For sound, I hooked her up with a 400 watt Digital Designs 2 channel amp pushing two 12" Memphis Street Reference Subwoofers in a slot ported box. Amp is mounted under the seat so it's hidden and out of the way....and the subwoofer box can be unplugged so the full rear can be used for storage/hauling. Overall, I'm impressed with the output of the Memphis Street Reference subs and the simplistic design that the DD Audio amps have. Got the subs in tonight....so might as well.
Threw them all in and the truck is now complete....for now. Memphis 10" Power Reference Shallow Mount woofers Digital Designs CM1 1000 watt mono block amp Custom made rhino lined subbox to fit under rear seat Well, it only took us 2 months, but I've finally brought on what I think is the top company for all my mobile video products (minus in-dash DVD and Navigation options).
This company only deals with dealerships directly, so this is what would have came in your car, had you had the option...basically. Had a close friend's family bring me their 2010 Toyota Sequoia wanting some headrest DVD players. Got her my 7" Dual Headrest DVD Player options. Dual 7" Screens in factory matching leather Dual DVD players Dual Headphones Dual Everything All this hides away like it was stock, and work perfectly. Hit me up if you want to know more about this awesome brand and what they will look like in your ride! So Ryan left over the weekend...which allowed me to have the truck.
Round 1 of installs went like this: JVC DVD/Navigation/HD Radio/Bluetooth/USB Reciever Bluetooth Mic installed in Gauge Cluster (so you don't look like you are yelling at the top of your windshield) Satellite Radio installed to reciever Backup Camera installed near hitch reciever. Ryan has previously been painting EVERYTHING on his truck two-toned black (new limo black, that has some candy in it). So the middle console area was taped off and painted as well. It's only been 5 months...haahha....FINALLY found time to finish everything in this bad boy.
New Memphis 4 channel amp pushing the fronts and maybe some outside wake tower speakers down the road. New Memphis Monoblock amp pushing the Memphis 10" woofer in the custom made center console. Made a little amp rack to house everything and we're done....can't believe it took this long..... Everything bumped pretty good, even with the woofer loading off the rear wall so close. Had a buddies new Legacy GT in today....swapped from his previous ride (Chevy Cobalt).
So we're putting in all his old (if you want to call it that) gear: JVC Double Din Deck Memphis 6.5" Component Speakers up Front Arc Audio 3 channel XDi amp pushing the memphis speakers and now (2) 10" kicker comp cr woofers This build was differnet as I had to order a dash kit and HVAC unit from Japan....basically anything with JDM on it will be expensive. Reason being, the GT models have dual climate control HVAC systems that are built into the stock deck, so you cannot simply take it apart and put it back in....so a new dash piece, HVAC unit, custom wiring harness, and mirrored hazard switch were needed. Install was straight forward, bass knob in top center compartment, amp under passenger seat, besides the sub, you can't tell anything was done...unless you looked at the deck. Cheers!! So this build has been an on-going project.
Customer had a local shop do most of the work, but after many failed attempts, the system still isn't working 100%. Horrible alternator whine and another whine that's not caused by the engine. Possibly the DVD players fault, but that'll be gone here soon (why i'm turning this into a projet). Today's bill: Sound deaden the doors to the MAX and install some grounding straps to attempt to supress the noise. These doors are SOLID! Cheers Finished the box for the Honda and buttoned up the install.
Box hits nicely, amp is tucked away and stock radio now has Ipod and Aux inputs...cheers! 2007 Honda Accord in for iPod/Aux input addition as well as Amp/Sub Combo.
Got everything installed and good to go and went to put in the Radio Code (once you unplug the radio, it throws a security code) and there wasn't a code in the vehicle...so I have to wait until Tomorrow to finish up the install. I'll have more pics but basically: iPod and Aux inputs in the lower pocket Amp on top of spare tire with quick disconnects for easy removal Custom Subwoofer Box (in the making) Cheers Started Saturday morning out with a quick install.
Put an Alpine CD player in with an Alpine Power Pack. These little power packs are kind of nice. They are a hide-away unit that wires directly in-line with the headunit, so no need to add additional power wires and what not.....actually hid nicely under the aftermarket Alpine...and gave it a definite boost in highs and mids. Worth the upgrade. Lifted Sierra came back to button up some additional add-ons. Added steering wheel controls and navigation to the Clarion we put in last week. Steering wheel controls are a must if they are existing and the navigation will aid the owner when he gets down to Texas. Also replaced all the stock lights that were yellow with blue LEDs....turned out great...once again....too bright outside to get good photos. Cheers Put in a big order of decals.....company was moving locations, so it took a bit longer than expected, so they through in some extras! All of those next to our old order makes for a big lot.
Who wants one? 2 are already taken....but other than that, they are up for grabs!! Had a sweet lifted truck in today. Owner put on all the mods himself, but decided to have Trax do the system. Got alot going in, so it was a full day.
Truck looks and sounds good now. Clarion DVD player with video bypassed, iPod input and steering wheel controls (coming this week). Arc Audio 3 channel XDi amplifier pushing (2) 10" Arc Audio XXD subwoofers in a custom made box that fits under the rear seats and Hybrid Audio Technologies Imagine Series 6.5" Component Speakers Invision Dual DVD player headrests Custom LED lighting in Dome light and under each persons' feet area. Custom mounted Backup Camera Cheers Got a decent sized project coming up as soon as I can fit it in.
DVD Player (Clarion) Front Components (Hybrid Audio) 3 Channel Amp (Arc Audio) Dual 10" Woofers (Arc Audio) Custom Box to fit under seat Got the box done today, had to bump out the woofers a bit more because Arc increased their tolerances, and added a 1/2" on the mounting depth for the XXD Woofers. NO biggy. Cheers! This is the second time I've worked on this Cobalt.
1st time as to fix an amp install gone bad. Original installed mounted the amp on the side wall, and cut the carpet out....so that's why I had to place the amp there.....when it comes back for the interior swap (going from all tan interior to black) I'll build a custom amp rack holder for it, so it'll look a bit better. Installed some Memphis Sync 6.5" Component speakers in the door. Swapped out the old Polk 300 watt amp for a new Arc Audio XDi803 amp. Pushes the front speakers with 80 watts each as well as gives the Kicker woofer 200 watts. Customer will either be getting another Kicker sub and bigger box so he can use all the 400 watts on the subwoofer side of the amp or will be getting dual Arc Audio XXD subs. Either way, with the addition of the front stage and a bigger box from the first time.....this system has come alive.....all we need now is a bit of sound deadener to stop the rattles and we're good. |
